Y’know all of those Prius-driving, latte-sipping liberals who voted for Obama who act so smug and smart? According to MRI, they are. Well, at least the smart part.
Mediamark Research says hybrid car owners are 85% more likely than the average adult to have a bachelor’s or post-graduate degree. And their $100K+ household income (179 index) helps to pay the Prius premium Toyota Hybrid owners fork over to drive these high-tech gas-sippers.
MRI says this group skews young (4 of 10 are Gen Xers, born 1965-76) and are 27 percent more likely than the average adult to consider preserving the environment “very important.”
